The Oregon Educational Act for the 21^st Century provided for local school site councils to direct professional development and school improvement activities. The site councils are to include representation from teachers, classified employees, parents, students and administration

Primary purpose of District Site Council is to explore ways to improve student learning at the school/s.

Goal: Identify a project (or projects) that will help:

• Improve school instructional programs.
• Develop plans to improve the professional growth of school staff.
• Implement the law.

· Administer grants for staff development

Meetings: Meetings will be held four times over the course of the school year during the Late Start days. Meetings will take place from 9:00-10:00 AM at either AES or CMHS libraries.
