CAL SD hires new administrators

The Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District welcomes two new administrators to serve the students, parents, and staff at Applegate Elementary School and Crow Middle/High School.

Kevin Rodemack is the incoming principal at CMHS. This is his first administrative position after seven years as a middle school social studies classroom teacher. His most recent professional assignment was in the Fern Ridge School District.

Malcom McRae will serve as the Applegate Elementary principal and district superintendent. McRae will be starting his 20th year in public education, the last 13 as a school administrator in the Junction City and Nyssa school districts.

Both of the new hires prioritize student-centered decision-making and emphasize student success over blind adherence to institutional habits which may cause students to become alienated from the school community.

As of this writing, Crow Middle/High School has three licensed teaching positions to fill including Advanced Math, English/Language Arts, and MS/HS Social Studies.
