Limited In-Person Instruction postponed at CMHS

Friday afternoon (Nov. 13, 2020), Governor Brown issued a 2 week pause to slow the spread of COVID with case rates topping 1,000 each of the past two days and 7,000 for the week. The effective dates are Wednesday, November 18 through Wednesday, December 2.

The start of Limited In-Person Instruction (LIPI) at CMHS for students in grades 7-12 will be postponed during the 2 week pause. CMHS staff are being directed to work from home to the extent possible during the pause period.

Phone messages will be checked periodically, so the public is encouraged to email the staff directly for more timely responses. Go to http://www.cal.k12.or.us/o/cal/page/cmhs-staff to access staff email addresses.

At Applegate Elementary, LIPI will continue as scheduled the week of November 16, 2020. This status is subject to change pending additional directives from the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), Lane County Public Health, or the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).

Under the Governor’s Executive Order, Oregonians are encouraged to stay home or in their region and avoid non-essential travel. Non-essential travel is tourism-related or recreational in nature. Persons arriving in Oregon from other states or countries should self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival and limit interactions to their immediate household only. This restriction will apply to students and staff who return from non-essential out-of-state travel.

Please take care and be well.
