The Crow-Applegate-Lorane Board of Directors approved the retirement of Superintendent/Principal Malcom McRae at its November 19, 2020 meeting. McRae will continue working until the conclusion of the 2020-21 school year on June 30, 2021.
At that same meeting, the Board selected Steve Kelley of the Oregon School Board Association to serve as a search and planning consultant to manage the hiring process.
Community members are encouraged to weigh in on the desired qualifications for a new Superintendent and to identify strengths and areas for improvement as the Board develops a profile for prospective candidates and search literature.
The survey will be open from Monday, November 23, 2020 through December 2, 2020. The survey may be taken in English [https://www.surveymonkey.com/r...] or in Spanish [https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/...].
A report of the overall survey results will be submitted to the Board at a special meeting on December 3, 2020. The meeting will be conducted virtually and is open to the public. A meeting link will be posted on the District website and social media outlets in the coming days.
