FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Beginning Monday, May 24th, Crow-Applegate-Lorane schools will permit students to participate in maskless PE and recess when students are outside. This change is in response to updated mask guidance from the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and a face covering clarification bulletin from the Oregon Dept. of Education.
Physical distancing requirements will remain in effect so as to minimize close contact (defined as within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period). When PE and recess are held indoors, students will continue to be required to wear face coverings.
No other protocols will change at this time. Future outdoor activities such as prom and graduation will incorporate the most recent guidance updates from OHA and/or ODE at the time those events take place.
