The Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District is pleased to announce the hire of Ms. Heidi Brown as its next superintendent-elementary principal.
Currently, Ms. Brown serves as principal of Harrison Elementary School in the South Lane School District. She grew up in Triangle Lake and previously worked for the Blachly School District/Triangle Lake Charter School.
Ms. Brown is the president-elect of the Coalition of Oregon School Administrator’s Executive Committee for Elementary School Principals, and will serve as president of this committee in the coming school year.
Ms. Brown describes herself as a “relationship-based leader who prides herself in rolling up her sleeves and working alongside colleagues.” Serving in the C-A-L split-leadership position as superintendent and principal of Applegate Elementary School “provides (an) opportunity to work at a systems level yet stay connected with kids.”
Ms. Brown co-led a $23M school construction project at Harrison Elementary, and will take over leading the final touches of a C-A-L bond-funded project involving extensive renovations of its schools and construction of a 2-classroom addition at Crow Middle/High School.
Ms. Brown will begin work for the District on 1-July-2021.
