CAL SD update to today's Fern Ridge Review story (published Oct. 14, 2020). County COVID infection rates have caused us to pause Limited In-Person Instruction until further notice. Breakfast & Lunch deliveries to eligible students will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The CAL SD Board meeting has been postponed to Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 at 7:00pm. Open to the public via phone-in link only; public comments accepted in writing (see agenda at https://5il.co/lx2y).
The current Lane County School Reopening Metric Tracker is now available at https://5il.co/jtz2. The case rate stands at 88.2, which is nearly 3 times the max rate for K-3 opening (30 per capita) and 9 times the max rate for grades 4-12 (10 per capita).
The Crow-Applegate-Lorane Board of Directors will meet Oct. 15 at 7:00pm. Please see the agenda for information to attend by phone-in link. Public comment must be submitted via email by noon on day of meeting.

The School Reopening Metric Tracker is available at https://5il.co/jtz2. The case rate per 100,000 is more than twice the K-3 max. If rates drop immediately and hold in the green zone for 3 straight weeks, the earliest projected date to open in-person classes is November 2, 2020.

To exhibit the amount of flexibility we all need to demonstrate this year, it became obvious to staff that students and teachers need more transition time in-between classes. Our classes will start at the exact same time, but we will have them ending earlier, giving students nine minutes to transition rather than four. A link to the new schedule is below.
