Mr. Dixon is doing an awesome art project in his high school class and has the following request,
"The art class is beginning an "Altered Art" unit, that is taking pre-existing materialsĀ such as books, postcards, games, etc., and turning them into unique works of multi-media art.Ā If you have any of the following things to spare laying around then they would be appreciated to help in the project:
>Board games and their pieces.Ā These do NOT have to be complete and it's a great way to get rid of your old Scrabble or Monopoly game that is missing too many bits to be playable.
>Hard back books.Ā Older and quirky are great.Ā Old school books like Dick & Jane reading primers are the best.Ā These books will be heavily modified to make this art.Ā Ā
>Cloth scraps and other bits and bobs.Ā Twine.Ā Buttons.Ā Lace.Ā Old calendars. Keys.Ā Small things that can be glued down.Ā Ā
Thank you!!Ā I will try and record the progress the students make as they explore this project."Ā Ā Ā
Any materials can be brought to the CMHS front office.
Thank you!

MS AG is learning about chickens and eggs, this week we learned about the cooking properties and culinary reaction eggs have on with things they are mixed. Students learned about egg whites and whipping them to soft, firm, and stiff peaks while making meringue cookies.

Correction, the concert for 12/18 is cancelled not today. Again, this is for the high school. The elementary concert is still happening today. Sorry for any confusion.

From Mr. Dixon,
"The band concert scheduled for tomorrow (12/17) has had to be postponed due to too many injuries or illnesses.Ā I will be rescheduling it for the second week of January."
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the front office. This is for CMHS.

CMHS is offering an amazing field trip this Thursday to see the Ballet Fantastique as a school. For this field trip we ask kids to pay six dollars to cover ticket costs. We are well aware that not all students are able to pay this, and in no way would we ever make that a restriction in students having an educational experience, however, we are asking if people would be willing to help students with this cost as an anonymous scholarship. If so, you can contact our front office at 541 935 2227.
Thank you all so much!
